    In this subsection, we explore diet, nutrition and supplements and also look into warm-up, cool-down and different methods of training. There is also some really good stuff on injury prevention, recovery and injury rehabilitation.

    For this pre-A-Level course - we're going to focus on Diet/Nutrition

    • About the presentation:

      This is a very interactive presentation discussing all the key areas of diet. You probably learnt some of this for GCSE Biology, but there may be some new content for you.

      - Did you know about all the roles of vitamins?

      - Did you know how essential some of the minerals are?

      - Have you ever heard of some of these training supplements?

      Reflection: Upon learning the content involved, do you feel confident that your diet and nutrition is up to scratch? Would you class your diet and nutritional behaviour as a good one? Why? Do you know how to adapt it to suit your needs e.g. for your sport/fitness goals?

      This video does a good job of explaining the role that Creatine supplementation has in our bodies when used.
