    German Mid A-Level Mocks

    Revision guidance

This 3 hour examination will consist of the following:

A genuine Listening/Reading/Writing A-level paper (2.5 hours), which will cover the topics you have met in Year 12, but also topics that you haven’t covered yet. You need not worry about this, as the reality is that no matter how much we cover a topic, the language you will meet in the exam will vary and test your general understanding of language and grammar. You can however start using the Departmental “Memrise” course to practise vocabulary that may occur in these topics.

    and

One Writing paper question (30 mins), which will require you to write an essay about the film “Lola rennt”, that you have already prepared in advance. Minimum 300 words, but between 400-500 recommended. In the real examination you have one hour to plan and write the essay, in this mock you will have around 30 minutes to write it. You should thus know your essay well before taking the examination. Showing a real understanding of the question and a high level of accuracy is vital.
